A word game, Writer’s Blox, at Facebook, began to take a few minutes of my time to do some word thinking. I believe it is good since it is one way to enhance and practice one’s brain in that English language (based on the Merriam Webster Dictionary).
Certain set of letters are provided daily, with some of the letters interconnected. You’ll bring all the letters on the board as if creating a crossword puzzle. There are multiplier spaces like double or triple letter or word so you would want to maximize that. The longer the words and as close together as possible will garner higher score.
Scoring is instant. Once you’ve hit a high score and you rearrange your blox to give a lower score, your leaderboard score will reflect the highest you’ve made so far. You can also invite friends to play the game so you can see how much you’ve made and how much your friends made. After the game for the day, you can see how your friend answered, the next day. They can also see your answer. By that, you can learn from each other’s answer.
You can take the game as a means to develop yourself or be competitive, or both. The important thing is to have fun.
